Weddings don’t have to be stressful time at all, believe me.. There are three things that I absolutely LOVE about weddings and being able to plan them for any couple.

The commitment

Marriage is not about the ‘day’, your wedding day is a huge part of both the groom and bride’s journey together but it overall is the commitment that is the foundation to what your wedding day is all about.  Sharing your love together with both families and friends and committing to each other.

In the bible it reads in Mark 10 ( New Testament)

6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’
7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,
8 and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

The first look

Ah I LOVE this part in the wedding – I think it is secretly one of the main reasons that I love weddings so much!  The first look!!!  Not just of the groom, but the bride too… The mother of the bride as she sees her what was once her little girl now on her wedding day, the father of the bride as he sees her before it all begins and the words that he utters to her as they walk down arms linked together, the bridesmaids bursting with pride as they watch their girl walk elegantly to her man that they have seen laugh and cry together, then the friends and other family members as they look at all the details of her hair, the veil, the jewelry, and more importantly the dress!

That moment, those looks and memories are utterly priceless at every wedding!

Releasing pressure and smiles

Then the releasing of pressure on the Bride and Groom, I love for a wedding day to come together for them both as a couple.  For them not to feel pressured as to what is happening next, not to be organising anything or anyone but simply be able to enjoy every second of it and just smile and be happy!
